UPDATE: US Cellular 911 service restored in Eastern Oregon

The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 911 service has been restored to US Cellular customers.

US Cellular said the issue was related to a third-party vendor and had been fixed for all of Eastern Oregon.

The outage affecting US Cellular customers in Umatilla County, as well as other counties in Eastern Oregon, interrupted service for an unknown number of customers.

The sheriff’s office and US Cellular said that any customer who has an emergency can call 541-276-0855 to reach the Umatilla County 911 Dispatch Center.

Nonemergency calls can be directed to 541-966-3651.
