They beat a man with a crowbar when he refused to pay for sex. Now a Pasco pair is in jail.
A Pasco man ended up with seven medical staples in his scalp after he was bashed with a crowbar and stripped naked for refusing to pay for sex.
Julie A. Lakowske, 28, allegedly asked for payment immediately after the act, then returned to the man’s house a week later to demand money, say investigators.
On the second visit, she left the door unlocked so Mauricio Jimenez could get inside and reportedly told him to kill the man because he wouldn’t pay, according to court documents.
Lakowske, who is about eight months pregnant, had threatened the man with a kitchen knife and cinched a plastic bag over his head, documents said.
Lakowske and Jimenez, 24, are charged in Franklin County Superior Court with one count each of first-degree assault and first-degree robbery.
They’re being held on $50,000 bail each, and are scheduled to enter pleas to the charges next week.
The victim told Pasco police on Aug. 14 that the previous week he had taken a woman to his home and had sex with her.
She later was identified as Lakowske based on physical description, including her pregnancy, and after viewing a photo lineup, court documents said.
The man reported that Lakowske demanded payment afterward, and again that following week. He said Jimenez entered the house after Lakowske, pulled out a crowbar and, following Lakowske’s orders, attacked him, documents said.
Jimenez allegedly hit the victim over the head several times.
After the attack, the pair removed the man’s clothes, bound him in the shower and took his wallet as they left the house, court documents said.
Officer Joseph Mullen noted that physical evidence inside the man’s house supported his claims.
Police got word that Lakowske was at the Sacajawea Apartments complex on Aug. 17 and searched one of the rooms. Lakowske was inside and arrested.
Police found Jimenez at his Pasco home. He allegedly admitted going to the man’s house as a favor to Lakowske. He claimed he hit the man in self-defense.
Jimenez claimed Lakowske grabbed the man’s wallet, along with some drugs in his pockets, and he took a bottle of Gatorade before they left, documents said.
