Collision closes part of West Clearwater in Kennewick
Clearwater Avenue was closed about 9:15 a.m. Monday when two cars collided, sending both drivers and three children to the hospital.
The accident happened near Leslie Road and South Utah Street.
An SUV was trying to turn onto Clearwater and was hit by a Nissan, with a mom and three children inside, said investigators at the scene.
Stanley Sachak said he was following his wife and three children to their daughter’s first dance class after recently moving to the Tri-Cities for his new job. He said his wife hit her nose and one of their kids had a cut forehead.
No one was seriously hurt but all were taken to area hospitals to be checked.
