Columbia Gardens seeks winery tenants
The Port of Kennewick is advertising for tenants for the wine park under construction near Clover Island.
Columbia Gardens Wine & Artisan Village is under construction between Columbia Drive to the south and Duffy’s Pond to the north. The port broke ground on the $3 million project in May and intends to turn it over to tenants in 2017.
The port is offering two spaces for lease. The 3,500-square-foot standalone buildings offer tasting rooms, a patio and winery production space as well as storage for cases and barrels in a separate building. The spaces are offered at $7.80 per square foot per year on a five-year term, or a base rate of $27,300, plus leasehold taxes.
The port will accept applications through Aug. 10, and will recommend finalists to the elected board of commissioners for a final decision. It hopes to lease to established regional wineries and not meant to incubate new wineries.
