UPDATE: Kennewick police arrest man in Central Park Apartments stabbing

Kennewick police arrested a man Wednesday in a stabbing attack at Central Park Apartments.

Police accuse Abdul Rahman U Sweidan, 46, of stabbing his wife several times in their apartment.

Sweidan’s wife, Dania Z. Alhafeth, 40, is in critical condition at a Tri-City medical facility. Kennewick detective Sgt. Ryan Kelly did not say which one.

No one else was hurt in the attack.

Detectives booked Sweidan into the Benton County jail on suspicion of first-degreee domestic violence assault.

Kennewick detectives continue to process the crime scene, Kelly said. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Tri-City CrimeStoppers at 509-586-8477.
