A driver smashed through a fence and into three camper trailers after he suffered a medical problem Friday.

The damage was estimated at nearly $300,000.

The 72-year-old man apparently passed out and plowed through the back lot of Jake’s Cafe off Highway 395 in Kennewick and right into the Blue Dog RV lot, said Kennewick police.

The door on the red SUV was ripped off and three fifth-wheel campers were damaged.

The driver was taken to Trios Southridge Hospital and later released.
