Summer Safety event planned June 18 in Kennewick

A Summer Safety Kidgits event is planned June 18 at the Columbia Center mall in Kennewick.

Hours are from 10 a.m. to noon. The event is between JC Penny and Macy’s Mens.

It includes activities promoting safety, such as a bike rodeo, helmet fittings, a visit from Smokey the Bear, electrical safety tips from Benton PUD and information on car seat safety from Safe Kids Benton-Franklin. Columbia Basin Dive Rescue also will be on hand, and games and crafts also are planned.
