Bigfoot legend to speak at international conference in Kennewick
The International Bigfoot Conference planned Sept. 1-3 in Kennewick will feature Bigfoot legend Bob Gimlin.
A Yakima native, Gimlin traveled to California in 1967 to hunt for Bigfoot with his friend, Roger Patterson.
Their footage of a large creature running on two legs along a creekbed has been called “the cryptozoological equivalent to the Kennedy assassination’s Zapruder film.”
This year is the Patterson-Gimlin film’s 50th anniversary.
Gimlin will speak about his experiences at the Kennewick conference, which also will feature Cliff Barackman of the Animal Planet show Finding Bigfoot, Adam Davies from the Travel Channel’s Expedition Unknown, author Lyle Blackburn and others.
The conference is family friendly and open to the public. Three-day passes are $45 for adults and $25 for kids 12 and younger. They’re available at internationalbigfootconference.com.
One-day passes are $25 at the door, subject to availability.
