Angel Reese Mocks Caitlin Clark's Flopping in Dream Win vs Fever

Disclaimer: Let’s not be weird about this.

Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark have been subject to bizarre, harmful, and mostly toxic narratives since their days at LSU and Iowa, respectively.

Is it a rivalry? Is it not? I’m not remotely interested in that conversation.

Reese ribbed Clark, and it was a funny moment. Nothing more, nothing less. It would have been funny if any other two WNBA players were involved, too.

Reese and the Atlanta Dream visited Clark and the Indiana Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Thursday night and came away with an impressive 108-101 win.

Early in the second quarter, Reese bumped Clark, who threw her hands in the air, prompting a foul call on Reese. Reese walked away smiling and briefly mocked Clark for a flop.

Clark, the 2024 No. 1 overall pick and a two-time All-Star, finished the night with 26 points on 8-for-17 shooting from the field, seven assists, and two rebounds. Kelsey Mitchell also bucketed 27 points, eclipsing 700 career made 3s in the process.

Reese, the 2024 No. 7 overall pick and two-time All-Star, led the Dream with 21 points on 8-for-14 shooting and 11 rebounds - her sixth double-double in the past seven games - but Atlanta came out on top because all five starters scored in double digits.

Clark played in her newly unveiled Caitlin 1 Nike signature shoe for the first time, while Reese debuted her Reebok Angel Reese 1 “Poison Angel.”

The Dream are now 9-1 this season when Reese hauls in double-digit rebounds.

A rematch between the Dream (10-4) and the Fever (9-6) will take place at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Saturday, June 20.
