Bengals QB Joe Burrow Outlines Lofty Goals for 2026 NFL Season

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was limited to just eight games last season. The three-time Pro Bowler suffered a grade-three turf-toe injury in Cincinnati's Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars that required surgery.

He later returned in Week 13, throwing for 1,809 yards, 17 touchdowns, five interceptions and a 100.7 passer rating on the season. However, his efforts weren't enough to help his team make a playoff run.

The Bengals wound up going 6-11 and missing the playoffs for a third straight year. While it was a year to forget, the former LSU Tiger has some different expectations for the 2026 NFL season.

In a YouTube video posted by "GQ Sports," highlighting the 10 things he can't live without, Burrow revealed what his goals are for the upcoming season.

"I have all the goals for this season," he said. "MVP, Super Bowl, win a lot of games, and have fun."

Burrow has played up to an MVP level before, being named a finalist for the award twice (2022 and 2024). However, in both instances, he finished fourth in voting, first behind the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and then behind Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

Of course, winning a Super Bowl is another achievement the two-time Comeback Player of the Year winner has fallen just short of. In his second year with the team, the Bengals were one win away from hoisting the Lombardi Trophy, but lost to the Los Angeles Rams.

Now going into his seventh season in the NFL, Burrow is attempting to put it all together. As a former No. 1 pick, he is also facing outside pressure to deliver on these lofty expectations.
