Raptors Recap (June 14): Ridgefield 11, Marion 4
Highlights - Justin Brown pitched six scoreless innings as Ridgefield improved to 6-0 on the road by sweeping a three-game series over the Marion Berries in Salem. The Raptors broke open the game with a five-run seventh inning to lead 9-0.
At the plate - Ridgefield 3B Ken Tomitaka (Santa Ana College) and Zach Wadas (Loyola Marymount) each went 3 for 5. Tomitaka had a two-run single that put the Raptors ahead 3-0 in the fifth. Wadas tripled, raised his batting average to .367 and has at least one hit in 10 of the past 11 games....2B Jackson Weber (Arizona State) went 2 for 4, including a two-RBI double.
On the mound - Brown (Michigan) improved to 2-0 with his best outing of the summer so far. The righty allowed just one hit with no walks and five strikeouts....Ryan McClaskey (Northwestern Oklahoma State, Camas HS) made his sixth appearance of the season, pitching two innings. He allowed three earned runs with three walks, but escaped a bases-loaded jam in the seventh inning.
Next up - The Raptors (11-4) start a three-game road series against the Portland Pickles on Tuesday. First pitch at Walker Stadium is 7:05 p.m.
