Kraken hire Patrik Allvin as vice president, assistant GM
The Kraken made a front-office hire Thursday in former Vancouver Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin, who is now vice president and assistant general manager in Seattle.
The coaching staff also added Jessica Campbell's replacement, hiring Pascal Vincent as an assistant coach.
Allvin and Botterill worked together previously in Pittsburgh. The Penguins won the Stanley Cup win in 2009, then went back-to-back in 2016 and 2017. Allvin worked his way up from European scout to assistant GM before leaving for Vancouver.
Allvin was a finalist for the 2024 Jim Gregory General Manager of the Year Award after the Canucks won a division title for the first time since 2013, but things went downhill quickly for the Kraken's nearest neighbors. The Canucks finished last in the NHL last season.
"Patrik will work very closely with me with a focus on pro scouting as part of his role," said Botterill in a team release.
Vincent was the head coach for the Laval Rocket, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Montréal Canadiens. He was AHL Coach of the Year in 2025.
He has worked as an NHL assistant coach before with Winnipeg and Columbus. Like Lambert, he had one brief stint as head coach, guiding the Blue Jackets in 2023-24.
No details were offered as to what his role will be. Campbell, a former skills coach, was in more of a player development role and wore the mic on the bench so Lambert could communicate with the video coaches during games.
Torrent fans hoped Campbell, the first woman to coach full-time behind an NHL bench, might stick around and fill the Seattle Torrent's head coaching vacancy. But the Professional Women's Hockey League's Torrent announced Thursday they had hired from within, elevating assistant coach Christine Bumstead.
