Victor Wembanyama Under Fire for What He Did in 4th Quarter

San Antonio Spurs guard De’Aaron Fox is taking the bulk of the blame for a Game 4 loss to the New York Knicks.

Fox made two glaring mistakes during a historic comeback from the Knicks as he opted to go for a layup in the waning seconds of the fourth quarter instead of just dribbling out some clock and waiting to be fouled.

He also left OG Anunoby unguarded on a 3-point attempt from Jalen Brunson which bouned off the rim and was put home by Anunoby for the 107-106 win.

But Fox isn’t the only one under fire for his play in the fourth quarter.

Spurs star big man Victor Wembanyama also took some heat for his play.

“A total choke job by Wembanyama last night. Had fear in his eyes at the line when he bricked both free throws. Seems Fox is taking most of the criticism for his dumb decisions. But Wemby blew it again too, somehow and unfathomably even worse than the pass off Castle's back,” said Kevin O’Conner of Yahoo Sports.

Wembanyama missed eight shots and went just 1-of-4 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter as the Spurs squandered a 29-point lead, according to Underdog Sports.

The series now shifts back to San Antonio for Game 5 on Saturday night.
