White House Snubbed Las Vegas Aces Despite Winning 2025 Finals

The White House may have not received the memo that the Las Vegas Aces are the reigning WNBA champions.

The Aces swept the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA Finals thanks to their dynamic duo of A'ja Wilson (28.5 points and 11.8 rebounds per game) and Jackie Young (20.3 points per game). They also received strong contributions from Jewell Lloyd, Chelsea Gray and Dana Evans during that series.

Most professional sports teams in America receive an invitation to the White House after winning a championship. Apparently, that's not the case for the WNBA.

According to Callie Fin of USA Today Sports, the Aces didn't receive an invitation to the White House despite winning the 2025 WNBA Finals. They considered visiting other places in the nation's capital, but their plans were ultimately derailed by scheduling conflicts.

"The Aces considered visiting the National Museum of African American History and Culture as an alternate way to commemorate the championship in Washington D.C. but will not be able to make the trip when it visits the Washington Mystics on July 22 due to scheduling conflicts," Fin wrote. "The Trump administration has yet to host a WNBA or NBA team for a championship visit."

WNBA fans react to this news.

Some fans are legitimately furious that Las Vegas got snubbed by the Trump administration, whereas others believe the Aces would've just rejected an invitation.

"He doesn't like successful women," one fan said.

"That's trash, but I also do think the Trump administration knows any WNBA team would just decline the invitation," a second fan wrote.

"Of course he doesn't support women's sports," a WNBA fan commented.

"I'm 100% positive they don't give a [expletive] about not receiving a invitation," another person replied.

Who knows? Maybe all of this buzz online will make the Trump administration extend an invitation to the Aces.
