The Laker Girls Have Officially Added A Uniform Patch

The Los Angeles Laker Girls are the most iconic dance team in the NBA. The Laker Girls, launched during the Jerry Buss era of the Southern California NBA franchise, has millions of fans worldwide.

The Laker Girls, outfitted in purple and gold, will be updating their iconic uniforms ahead of the 2026-27 season. The Laker Girls are getting their own uniform patch. The popular dance team will be sponsored by Daiso.

The Lakers announced a multi-year partnership with the Japanese company. The company will also serve as a sponsor of the Laker Girl auditions.

Lakers president of business operations Lon Rosen announced the news in a statement on Thursday.

"We are thrilled to welcome Daiso to the Los Angeles Lakers family with an innovative partnership that connects the retailer to the Laker Girls," Rosen said in a statement. "Recognized as the premier sports entertainment team, the Laker Girls have both a global and local appeal that connects Daiso to one of the most influential and memorable elements of the Lakers gameday experience." 

Wish was the Lakers' jersey sponsor from 2017-21, while Bibigo was the Lakers' jersey sponsor from 2021-26.

The Japanese company is excited, as well

Daiso Board member Taku Suzuki released a statement.

"Daiso aims to be a global lifestyle infrastructure that enriches lives around the world. We are incredibly honored to partner with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Laker Girls," Suzuki said. "By connecting with the Lakers' passionate international fanbase, we look forward to delivering 'DANZEN' - our commitment to being the 'absolute best' and exceeding expectations - to communities everywhere." 

The Lakers are coming off a 53-29 season in 2025-26, with LeBron heading into free agency this summer.
