Dan Campbell On Rams Trading For Myles Garrett: 'Good For Them'

Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions don't have to worry about Myles Garrett in the 2026 regular season. They didn't have him on the schedule when he was part of the Cleveland Browns and they won't have to worry about him now that he's on the Rams either.

Even so, reporters were curious to find his reaction to the news that the all-world pass rusher is now in the NFC and set to face his team far more often. Campbell didn't disappoint.

When asked to weigh in on the move this week, he joked that the Rams have obviously "won it now" and offered a slight congratulations to the Rams on their move.

"Good for them. They've won it now, right?" he joked before adding that he didn't have much of a reaction to the news.

Respect

Fans appreciated Campbell for not feeding further into the narrative that the Rams have become a super team, pointing out that his Lions don't even have to play the Rams in the regular season anyway.

"Dan Campbell is honestly just a menace, love that energy for the Lions this year," one user declared.

"Worth noting that the Lions don't play the Rams in the regular season. So he won't have to think about it for a while," another remarked.

"Why would anyone even ask him this? They aren't even in same division as the rams why do they care?" wrote a third.

2025 marked the fourth straight winning season for Campbell, but ended their run as back-to-back NFC North champions. Despite finishing 9-8, they actually wound up being dead last in the stacked division.

If the Lions are even one win better in 2026, they'll probably be able to punch their ticket to the playoffs. Of course, if they make the playoffs, they might THEN have to start worrying about the potential of facing Rams and their all-world pass rusher.
