Breaking: Browns Trading Myles Garrett In NFL Stunner
The Cleveland Browns are trading All-Pro and Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett in a Monday afternoon stunner.
NFL insiders Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport reported on Monday afternoon that the Los Angeles Rams are making a blockbuster move for Garrett, whose time in Cleveland is ending, after going No. 1 overall in the NFL Draft in 2017.
"Bombshell: The Browns are finalizing a trade that will send two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams, per @rapsheet , @TomPelissero and me," Schefter reported.
"In exchange for Garrett, the Rams are expected to send Pro-Bowl edge Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick and other draft-pick compensation still being negotiated to the Browns."
NFL fans react to the blockbuster trade
NFL fans are pretty stunned on Monday.
"Verse a great player but no more Myles Garrett in the AFC North? It's an excellent day," one fan wrote.
"Sean McVay learned what life was like without having the best defensive player in the league and said 'I don't ever want to do that again,'" one fan added.
"Bears have to go through this juggernaut Rams team," one fan added.
"A true blockbuster. Garrett has missed OTAs in the past but this offseason had a different feel," another fan added.
The official trade is expected to be announced later on Monday.
