Giants Urged To Keep Things 'Internal' After Jaxson Dart Controversy

By all accounts, Jaxson Dart's somewhat controversial decision to introduce President Donald Trump at a recent event has become water under the bridge within the New York Giants locker room. Nevertheless, the team has decided to address their conduct moving forward.

According to ESPN's Giants insider Jordan Raanan, the Giants have internally decided that future frustrations should be dealt with internationally, rather than vented publicly.

"Sources told me among the topics discussed was keeping things 'internal' and not airing frustrations publicly. The Giants do not think this is something that is problematic now or moving forward," Raanan wrote.

Looking at one player in particular...

The mention of avoiding airing grievances publicly seems to be pretty clearly aimed at Giants pass rusher Abdul Carter, whose decision to publicly call out Dart the morning after the event created arguably more headlines than Dart.

But fans believe that the standard needs to equal across the board, with Dart having to keep his political beliefs as private as team members who may want to respond to them.

"A little late to keep things internal. Dart made things external when he introduced Trump at a rally where Trump went on to call NYC (the city Dart represents) dirty, full of immigrants and where elections are stolen. Dart's problem is with a large portion of @Giants fans," one user on X remarked.

"I mean if thats the policy then it needs to be consistent. If players can't publicly voice their frustration with teammates politics then players shouldn't be publicly rallying in politics," wrote another.

"It's ironic how the organization wants to keep things 'internal' AFTER their QB makes a public appearance," a third remarked.

At the end of the day, the Giants have decided to move forward with both Dart and Carter and there don't seem to be any rifts that will affect the team during the 2026 season.

Fans can choose to root for or boo Dart and Carter over the things they've said and done in recent days, but the players are ready to move on.
