Ben Stiller Roasts Fox Sports 1 Host Danny Parkins About Knicks

Fox Sports host Danny Parkins has been firmly away from the New York Knicks bandwagon throughout the NBA playoffs. So after Parkins finally admitted to being wrong about the team's chances of even reaching the NBA Finals, Knicks fan and actor/producer Ben Stiller decided to have some fun with that.

Earlier this week, Stiller liked a post on X of Parkins admitting that he was wrong about the Knicks the entire time. On Wednesday, Parkins addressed that, lamenting that he was "out of Ben Stiller's circle of trust" (in reference to Stiller's iconic comedy Meet the Parents).

"I guess I'm out of Ben Stiller's circle of trust. This is very upsetting," Parkins said on First Things First.

But Stiller wasn't done roasting Parkins just yet. Later that day he took to X and called out Parkins personally for his "deeply flawed non-believer take."

"Danny. I almost responded to your (with respect) deeply flawed non believer take - in which you said you wouldn't even believe in the Knicks if they actually won the championship. I think that's what you said, or close to it… so no bad blood, thanks for the MTP love, and if anything you represent what many feel when they can't accept the reality in front of their eyes of this brilliant, record breaking team. People want to dunk on the Knicks, always have in my life time, which will make this chip all the sweeter. Much love and orange and blue skies, Focker," he wrote (also making another Meet the Parents reference).

Parkins Responds

Parkins took the jab from the Severance producer in stride. He took to the replies section of X and apologized.

"Oh if I ever conveyed I wouldn't believe in them if they WON THE TITLE then I erred as a communicator. Certainly picked ATL & CLE & think the path has inflated this team but hey, I've been wrong every step of the way! My lunch should be cancelled due to lack of hustle," Parkins wrote.

Ben Stiller was still a child the last time the Knicks won an NBA championship and his breakthrough role as Gaylord "Greg" Focker in Meet the Parents didn't come out until one year after the San Antonio Spurs beat them in the 1999 NBA Finals.

Stiller has been waiting his entire adult life to see his Knicks win an NBA title. Now the team may be just four wins away from one.

But they have to get through either the Oklahoma City Thunder or the Spurs first.
