Caitlin Clark Makes WNBA History in Fever Win Over Valkyries
Caitlin Clark returned to the lineup on Friday night after missing one game, helping the Indiana Fever secure their third consecutive victory with a 90-82 win over the Golden State Valkyries.
As usual, Indiana's star trio led the way. Aliyah Boston finished with 20 points and 16 rebounds, Clark added 22 points and nine assists, and Kelsey Mitchell contributed 19 points.
Clark finished just one assist shy of recording her third consecutive game with at least 20 points and 10 assists, a feat only Courtney Vandersloot has previously accomplished in WNBA history.
Still, Clark managed to make history once again - something that has become a regular occurrence early in her career. According to FeverStats, Clark became the first player in WNBA history to record at least 20 points and five assists in each of her first five games of a season. She also now owns the longest streak of 20-point games in the WNBA this season.

Clark has been dealing with some back soreness, which is why she missed Wednesday's game against the Portland Fire, but the issue has not slowed her down when she has been on the floor.
Through five games this season, Clark is averaging 23.8 points per game, which ranks third in the WNBA, along with a league-leading 9.0 assists per game. She is also adding 4.4 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and a WNBA-best 3.2 made three-pointers per contest.
The Fever are now 4-2 on the season and currently sit in second place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Indiana will now have several days off before returning to action next Thursday night when the Fever travel to Golden State for a rematch against the Valkyries.
