PWV's Matlock secures second straight P2BL MVP
May 20-Lauren Matlock had to share the league MVP last spring. This year, she's being selfish.
The Titans star outfielder is a back-to-back P2BL MVP winner after leading her team to another regular season league title and a third place finish in the Class 2B District 4 tournament. Matlock launched six home runs in four district games and will take the offensive prowess into the state tournament this weekend in Yakima.
PWV led the league with five first team honorees and head coach Eric Hopfer was named Coach of the Year. Ilwaco was given the Sportsmanship Award by the league's coaches. Here are the complete all-league teams:
