Florida State Football's 2026 GPA Claims Backfire on Social Media
Florida State's football program has fallen on tough times as of late.
After going 13-1 in 2023, missing the College Football Playoff following an undefeated regular season, the Seminoles have been one of the worst Power Four teams in college football. Florida State went 2-10 in 2024 and followed that up with a losing 5-7 campaign in 2025.
Hopes are higher for 2026, though the Seminoles keep shooting themselves in the foot, apparently.
The Seminoles tried to brag about their 2026 team GPA, but they were immediately called out on social media.
Florida State tried to do some bragging:
- 📚 Program-record GPA
- 📚 3 players on President's List
- 📚 31 players on Dean's List
However, FSU football gets immediately called out
Florida State appeared to brag about a record-high team GPA last year, too. However, that one was higher than this one.
"According to this same account they had a record GPA of 3.31 last spring, 2025. This would mean 2026 is not a record year for GPA," the community note read.
FSU fans aren't happy with the error, either. They believe it's a sign of mismanagement across the board.
"Last spring was announced as 3.31. Yet another inconsistency noticed in this broken program. Get your stuff together," one fan wrote.
"I think we'd all prefer a 2.4 GPA with 10+ wins every year," another fan joked.
"GPA gonna be higher than our win count at the end of the year," another fan joked.
Florida State has been making errors both on and off the field as of late, it seems. The Seminoles will look to take a big step forward during the 2026 season, though.
FSU will open the 2026 season against New Mexico State in Week 1.
