Megan Rapinoe Gets Roasted For Her 2026 World Cup Partnership

Former U.S. soccer star Megan Rapinoe's playing days are long gone, but she's still in the spotlight leading up to the FIFA World Cup.

Since the 2026 World Cup set to begin this June, Rapinoe has partnered with FIFA Hospitality in an effort to give fans the experience of a lifetime.

"With hospitality, you get a guaranteed ticket with premium seating," Rapinoe said. "You get a ticket plus dedicated entry, unlimited food and drink, and plenty of time before and after the match to enjoy it all. With hospitality, you get to experience the best of the beautiful game."

It didn't take long for soccer fans to criticize Rapinoe's partnership with FIFA Hospitality, and understandably so. The ticket prices aren't exactly affordable for the everyday fan.

"Sad you are doing this Megan," one fan said. "They have out priced all the fans."

"Rapinoe a plant for FIFA, how the mighty have fallen," an Instagram user wrote.

"Too expensive for normal working people," another fan commented.

Prices for the FIFA World Cup are out of control.

As of right now, FIFA Hospitality's starting price for USA vs. Paraguay is $2,000. If you want to "save" some money, you could watch Haiti vs. Scotland for $920. Obviously, that's too steep of a price for most fans.

Suffice to say, there'll be plenty of fans staying home to watch the FIFA World Cup. The first match is scheduled for June 11 at 3 p.m. ET.

The prices for Argentina, Ecuador, England and France's matches are also skyrocketing at this time.
