Conor McGregor Sends 6-Word Message After UFC Comeback Announcement

After several reports surfaced over the past week - including comments from Dana White hinting at a potential summer return for Conor McGregor - it is now officially happening.

McGregor is set to return to the Octagon during International Fight Week on July 11 at UFC 329, marking his first fight in roughly five years. He is scheduled to face Max Holloway in a welterweight bout at 170 pounds.

Shortly after the announcement became official on Saturday evening, McGregor shared a message on Instagram.

He posted a photo of himself alongside a quote that read, "Start from Nothing, Stop for Nothing."

McGregor's last fight in July 2021 came against Dustin Poirier, where he suffered a fractured tibia and fibula that led to a lengthy recovery process.

Once healthy, it appeared a matchup with Michael Chandler was finally going to happen. The two even coached opposite one another on The Ultimate Fighter, but despite months of anticipation, the fight ultimately never materialized.

Despite the years away from competition, White confirmed that McGregor has been actively training for a return bout, which helped make the process move fairly quickly once the contract was signed.

Up until this weekend, the deal had reportedly been in the "finalizing" stages before becoming official.

This will mark the second fight of McGregor's career against Holloway. The two previously met back in 2013, when McGregor earned a decision victory.
