MLB Home Run Predictions Today: HR Prop Bets for Wednesday, May 13

It's "Wednesday Wallop Watch," and this slate is loaded with hitters ready to send baseballs on sightseeing tours. We've got Ben Rice locked into a matchup against a pitcher who's been getting tagged for homers, James Wood bringing monster power into a hitter-friendly launching pad, and Corey Seager facing a fly-ball-heavy arm he's already handled before.

The power trends are loud, the matchups fit perfectly, and the pitchers are giving up plenty of elevated contact. If you're chasing long balls Wednesday, this is the trio worth backing.

Best Home Run Props Today

Ben Rice Home Run Bet (+328)

Rice has been crushing baseballs all season, and Wednesday feels like another great spot for him to leave the yard against Kyle Bradish. Rice already has 13 home runs and has done most of his damage against righties, batting .318 with a .693 slugging percentage in those matchups. He's also seen Bradish well before, going 4-for-8 with a home run against him. Bradish has been getting tagged lately too, allowing four home runs over his last four starts. Feels like a pretty good setup for another Ben Rice bomb.

James Wood Home Run Bet(+357)

Wood feels like a great home run target Wednesday against Nick Lodolo. Wood already has 12 home runs through 42 games after blasting 31 last season, and the power numbers are ridiculous with a hard-hit rate around 60% and an average exit velocity over 96 mph. He hasn't taken Lodolo deep yet, but he's already 5-for-11 with a double against him. Lodolo's 47.1% fly-ball rate is dangerous in a hitter-friendly park like Great American Ball Park, especially against a hitter who can launch baseballs like Wood.

Corey Seager Home Run Bet (+407)

Seager hasn't been piling up hits this season, but the power swing still looks alive with seven home runs already. Wednesday's matchup against Ryne Nelson feels like another good chance for Seager to leave the yard. He's already 4-for-7 with two doubles and a home run against Nelson, who has been giving up plenty of fly balls and four home runs over his last three starts. With the short porch in Texas helping lefty power, this feels like a sneaky-good spot for a Seager bomb.
