Tumwater sealed an EvCo title on Thursday, topping Shelton 11-4 on the road to extend its winning streak to nine games.

The Thunderbirds didn't hang up one crooked number, but they scored in every inning, including two runs in four innings, to slowly but surely build on a lead.

Shelton's four runs all came in the fifth, but Tumwater led 8-0 going into that frame and quickly answered back with two runs in the sixth to push the lead back to six before a final insurance run in the seventh.

Luke Overbay led the offense with three hits, including a solo home run, while Jimmy Womach also tallied three hits and drove in three runs.

Liam Gustafson added two RBIs, as did Kade Acker, and Peyton Davis tallied two hits and an RBI of his own.

Five different T-Birds got work on the mound, with Womach going the longest. He pitched the first three innings, allowing just one hit and striking out four without allowing a run.

Hunter Kirkeby (1 IP), Gustafson (1.1 IP), and Charlie Crawford (1 IP) also posted at least one scoreless frame out of the pen.

Tumwater (17-4, 13-2 2A EvCo) will enter the 2A District 4 Tournament as the EvCo's No. 1 seed. The Thunderbirds will host No. 4 Ridgefield in a quarterfinal on Tuesday.
