Apparently, Caitlin Clark Is Not The WNBA's 'Most Marketable' Player

With the 2026 season officially underway, Boardroom has ranked the top-five most marketable players in the WNBA. Believe it or not, Caitlin Clark wasn't ranked No. 1.

According to Boardroom, the most marketable player in the WNBA is none other than Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson. The four-time MVP has already cemented her status as one of the best players in league history, winning three titles and earning All-Star honors seven times.

Interestingly enough, Boardroom doesn't even have Clark ranked second behind Wilson. That spot has been reserved for Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers.

As you'd expect, Clark's fans voiced their displeasure with Boardroom's rankings.

"CC is by far the league's most marketable player and it's not even close," one fan said.

"Stop. Boardroom getting in on the raigebait," a second fan replied. "How is Paige over Angel and Caitlin? She can't even get viewers on TV. Seems like there's new narrative 'make Paige the media Darling' At least Aja is the greatest in the sport."

"There is only one person on this list that is bigger than sports and basketball," another fan commented.

"Can people be serious for once about the WNBA? Make your list based on fundamentals, not feelings. There are NO numbers that actually put A'ja Wilson or any other WNBA player above Caitlin in terms of marketability. NOT EVEN CLOSE," a social media user wrote.

Who is truly the most marketable player in the WNBA?

The 2024 WNBA Draft had a record-breaking 2.45 million viewers in large part because Clark went first to the Indiana Fever. Before she even stepped foot in the WNBA, she was setting ratings records at Iowa.

Despite missing most of the 2025 season due to injury, that hasn't derailed most of the momentum that Clark built with the Fever in 2024.

It was confirmed a few weeks ago that Indiana will have all 44 of its games this season televised or streamed on ABC, CBS, ESPN, ION, NBA TV, NBC, Peacock, Amazon Prime and USA Network.

While we're not denying Wilson and Bueckers' popularity and influence on the WNBA, the reality is no one moves the needle like Clark.
