OG Anunoby Injury News Emerges After Knicks-76ers Game 2
New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby exited Wednesday’s Game 2 matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers after suffering what appeared to be a right leg injury with just over three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
Anunoby went back into the locker room and did not return to the bench as the Knicks went on to win with a 108-102 final score at Madison Square Garden, taking a 2-0 lead in the second-round series.
The Knicks didn’t provide any update on Anunoby’s status immediately after the game, but details surfaced on Thursday afternoon.
Anunoby suffered a right hamstring strain and is considered day-to-day as the Knicks prepare for their next matchup against the 76ers. He’s listed as questionable to play in Friday night’s Game 3 contest in Philadelphia, according to ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania.

Anunoby is a massive contributor for the Knicks, and his absence would be significant to say the least.
The veteran forward is key for New York on both sides of the ball, averaging 21.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.2 blocks per game through his team’s first-round series win over the Atlanta Hawks. Before leaving the game with his hamstring injury on Wednesday night, he recorded 24 points, five rebounds and four steals.
