Shedeur Sanders Named Biggest Winner Of 2026 NFL Draft

The Cleveland Browns didn't exactly build a quarterback-friendly roster for the 2025 season. Luckily for Shedeur Sanders, his supporting cast for this fall should be much better from top to bottom.

Cleveland kicked off its draft by selecting Utah offensive tackle Spencer Fano with the No. 9 overall pick. The Browns then used their second pick in the first round on Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion, who had 61 receptions for 919 yards and nine touchdowns last season.

If you thought the Browns were done addressing their offense in the draft, think again. Their front office doubled down at wide receiver by selecting Denzel Boston with the No. 39 pick in the second round. He had 881 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns for Washington in 2025.

Former Fox Sports personality Skip Bayless believes the Browns have done everything in their power to bolster the supporting cast around Sanders.

"YESSSSS! Browns have now given Shedeur two receivers - a smaller lightning one (KC Concepcion) and a bigger faster one (Denzel Boston)," Bayless said. "Shedeur had the worst receiving corps in the league last season according to PFF. Not any more. And Fano will greatly improve poor protection."

Make no mistake, Bayless isn't the only NFL fan who loves what the Browns are doing in this year's draft.

"The Cleveland Browns are having themselves a DRAFT. Shedeur Sanders getting KC Concepcion, Denzel Boston and Spencer Fano is HUGE," one fan commented.

"Browns can't be helping Shedeur anymore than they have this draft! Way to go [general manager Andrew] Berry," another fan wrote.

Is Shedeur the Week 1 starter for the Browns?

Browns head coach Todd Monken has already stated that he's not ready to name a starting quarterback. For what it's worth, Sanders worked with the first-team offense during the start of voluntary veteran minicamp.

"The number of reps a player gets doesn't eliminate competition. It's just in a given day, let's say for instance, you want to see a quarterback with the first group, the second group, the third group. Well, are you going to divide those reps up evenly? Are you going to divide up the reps everywhere evenly? I don't see it that way," Monken told reporters. "That doesn't mean there's not competition. I just see it as in a given day, and it'll be daily in terms of who gets what reps and when, because we certainly want to allocate our reps to the players we feel like are going to give us the best chance to win."

So despite all the hype surrounding Sanders, he's not guaranteed to be the starter in Cleveland. Make no mistake though, he'll have the chance to earn the job this summer.
