NFL Announces 2026 Schedule Release Is 'Coming Soon'

We're getting awfully close to the release of the 2026 NFL schedule.

Although the spotlight will be on the NFL Draft for the next three days, the league's official X account posted a hype video this Thursday along with the caption: "2026 NFL Schedule Release. Coming soon."

A date hasn't been announced just yet, but the official schedule will be released in May. All we know for certain is Week 1 will kick off on Sept. 9 with the Seattle Seahawks.

As you'd imagine, NFL fans are eager to schedule their plans for the fall.

"As a Ravens fan I want Pittsburgh at M&T Bank Stadium on MNF in Week 1," one fan commented. "I want the Steelers right away!"

"Need that Baltimore Dallas date asap," a second fan said.

"Been eyeing this Ravens/Panthers game for a hot minute," another fan wrote.

The 2026 season will feature a handful of international games.

There'll be nine international games on the schedule this upcoming NFL season, which includes a Week 1 showdown in Melbourne between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams.

The Dallas Cowboys, meanwhile, will play a game at Maracaña Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. It hasn't been confirmed yet, but the Baltimore Ravens are their rumored opponent.

London, Madrid, Mexico City, Munich and Paris are also set to host NFL games in the fall.
