Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift's Wedding Planning Strategy Emerges

The latest speculation surrounding Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's wedding suggests that the power couple will be getting married in New York City in early July.

Rhode Island had previously been mentioned as the likely spot for Kelce and Swift's wedding, though local government confirmed that no such event is taking place in the state. Rhode Island town manager Shawn Lacey spoke out at a local meeting.

"We have no knowledge of a wedding taking place in June," Lacey told councilor Rose Van Dover, the Westerly Sun wrote. "If there was one taking place in June, we would certainly have knowledge of it by now."

He continued.

"I've been in touch with the state on this," Lacey said, per the Sun. "We've coordinated with outside agencies in the event that it was to happen, but there's nothing that we know of, and seeing that it is now eight weeks away, I can't imagine someone's throwing a wedding together in eight weeks."

Kelce and Swift, meanwhile, have reportedly "cut" their parents from the wedding planning strategy.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's parents will not be part of the wedding planning.

The wedding planning is going through Travis, Taylor and a wedding planner - and that's it.

"Both sets of parents are really happy and think getting married is the right thing for them to do because they're old school and wanted him to put a ring on Taylor's finger. But none of them are involved in the wedding planning, although, surprisingly, Travis is," the source added.

It's probably the right call

As someone who is currently planning a wedding, I can attest that the more people involved, the more complicated it gets.

It's probably the right call for Travis and Taylor to keep the wedding planning to themselves, while welcoming as many loved ones as possible to the big day when it happens.
