Letter: Re-elect Brault, Lehrman to Pasco School Board

Wonderful things have been happening in the Pasco schools that have gone unnoticed. The breakneck speeds by which our student population is growing has giving us the perfect combinations of veteran and idealistic new teachers. Add the talented support staff and you have the recipe for miracle-working.

So it comes to no surprise to those of us who partner with our schools that our students, employees and board are recognized for the great job they do. The following are just a few:

Five student recipients of the Gates Millennium Scholarship since 2009, more than any other district in the Tri-Cities. They are worth up to $820,000 each and good through a Ph.D or masters. Some students are attending Brown, Columbia and Harvard.

Eight Pasco teachers have won the ESD 123 Teacher of the Year Award since 2006.

Two Pasco principals won the Distinguished Elementary School Principal of the Year.

Superintendent Saundra Hill was named the 2013 Washington State Superintendent of the Year by the Washington Association of School Administrators.

The Pasco School Board was named a 2014 Board of Distinction by the Washington State School Directors’ Association (WSSDA).

Please re-elect Ryan Brault and Scott Lehrman to the Pasco School Board.
