Thankful Thursday: Gift of sight

The Tri-Cities Sunrise Rotary Club is grateful for the continued community support given Dr. Jim Guzek and his effort to restore sight to people in Ethiopia blind with cataracts. Dr. Jim and his team of volunteers just returned from his sixth surgical camp. The other Tri-Cities team members are: Dr. Gregg Luehrs, Don Pratt, Olivia Horne, Devi and Warren Tate. With help of Dr. Bora, an Ethiopian surgeon, they did 250 surgeries last week.

There is a welcome home party Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Stone Ridge Event Center, Pasco (next to TRAC).
