Letter: Vote Berry, McBurney, Burrowes and DeWolf for judicial seats

Electing judges is very difficult. Getting meaningful information about the candidates is not easy. Most of the time, the incumbents are either unchallenged or their opponents are generally unknown to the public.

And yet, judges have the most direct and long-lasting impact on our communities. Decisions handed down from the bench by individuals empowered either by appointment or election have immense impact on our well-being, rights and freedoms.

It is for the above reasons that I have prayerfully considered candidates for several judicial races.

Please vote for Alicia Berry for Position 3 and Joe Burrowes for Position 2 on the Superior Court in Benton and Franklin counties.

I also endorse David DeWolf as Justice for the Supreme Court and Patrick McBurney for the Court of Appeals in the Eastern District.

These individuals present excellent qualifications, espouse conservative values and share my belief that judges should, above all, hold steadfastly to the tenets of the state and U.S. constitutions. They have integrity and conviction, and will not engage in partisanship or judicial activism.

Unlike some who have ascended to the bench through political appointment, they will serve the public who elected them.

Vote Berry, McBurney, Burrowes and DeWolf.
