Longview to temporarily shut off water on 14th Avenue

Longview crews are set to work on the city's water system in the 700 block of 14th Avenue and Commerce Avenue on Wednesday.

Water is scheduled to be turned off from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. that day in the location near Longview Auto and Tire.

Workers plan to prep the site on Tuesday.

People in the area of the shutoff are advised to keep water on hand, turn off hot water heaters at the circuit breaker and turn off irrigation timers.

Those who need help before or after the shutdown are asked to call the city's utilities department at 360-442-5700.
