The crash occurred just before 7 a.m., near milepost 41 and close to exit 40, which leads onto North Kelso Avenue.

Brynn M. Byman, 18, of Longview, was heading south in a 2003 Honda Accord when she swerved into the right shoulder, according to a Washington State Patrol press memo. She then overcorrected and struck a 2011 Ford F-150 truck driven by Jason E. Wooden, 46, of Castle Rock.

Byman was cited for an improper lane change, and both drivers were sent to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview.

Both wore their seatbelts, and their respective vehicles were towed, the memo states.

Neither alcohol nor drugs were involved.
