Armed Forces Day celebration set for Downtown Centralia

May 13-America's Team Military Museum will celebrate Armed Forces Day this weekend in downtown Centralia with historic military vehicles and local military history displays.

The local military museum will host the weekend celebrations on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The museum is located at 622 N. Tower Ave. in downtown Centralia.

Owner and operator of the museum Peter Lahmann urged residents to come celebrate the event during a recent Centralia City Council meeting. He added that collectors are welcome to bring their own collections or historic military vehicles to aid in the celebration.

According to Lahmann, the small local military museum focuses on the military history of Centralia with vehicles and other artifacts from the area.
