Deputies arrest Kennewick man who stabbed father
Benton County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested the man who reportedly stabbed his father in their Kennewick home Wednesday.
Kevin M. Phillips, 31, of Kennewick, got in an argument with his father before stabbing him in the chest at 11:15 p.m. inside their home at 1904 East Third Ave., Benton County Sheriff’s officers said. A friend then took him to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco where the 52-year-old man was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Phillips left the house and was last seen walking west. He was booked into Benton County jail at 5:18 a.m. Friday on first-degree assault and five other outstanding warrants on $35,100 bail.
The father has requested a pre-trial no-contact order.
No one else was injured.
