Suspect arrested in shooting of Kennewick man

Police arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting last week that injured a Kennewick man.

Nathaniel L. Thompson, 24, of Pasco, was booked into the Benton County jail Wednesday following his arrest near Lewis Street and Oregon Street in Pasco.

He is accused of shooting Khiry Y. Jackson, 25, on Sept. 12 on the 4800 block of West Clearwater Avenue.

Police found Jackson shot in a car and medics took him to Trios Health in Kennewick. He was treated and released.

It’s unclear what led to the shooting or if the two men knew each other.

Thompson was booked on suspicion of assault and burglary charges.
