Elderly woman collapses in Richland house fire

An elderly Richland woman was found unconscious Monday evening while apparently trying to get out of her home during a kitchen fire on the 200 block of Adams Street. She was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center. Her condition was unknown Monday night.

An elderly Richland woman was found unconscious Monday evening while apparently trying to get out of her home during a kitchen fire.

Richland firefighters discovered the woman, who suffered some burns, behind her front door during the 6:30 p.m. blaze on the 200 block of Adams Street.

She was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center. Her condition was unknown Monday night.

Seven fire trucks from Richland, Pasco, Kennewick and West Richland helped extinguish the fire, said officials.
