Benton County awards small contract to human trafficking ministry

Benton County has signed a $5,000 contract with Mirror Ministries to help combat human trafficking in the Mid-Columbia.

Mirror Ministries will educate area students, businesses and agencies about human trafficking to help identify victims earlier. The program is funded by the public safety tax authorized by Benton County voters in 2014.

Mirror Ministries is a Richland nonprofit serving at-risk populations.
