Clover Island boat launch to re-open
The Clover Island boat launch will formally reopen to the public with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and other festivities at 3:30 p.m. April 6 at 102 Clover Island Drive, Kennewick.
The Port of Kennewick and the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office collaborated on an update to the boat launch, parking lot and landscape. There is a new restroom as well as new artwork featuring eagles fighting over a salmon.
For the grand reopening, the Naval Sea Cadets Corps will present the colors and the Coast Guard will launch the first vessel. Coffee and cookies will be served.
