The first video game lounge in the Tri-Cities has opened at the Columbia Center mall.

PLAYlive Nation has 21 Xbox One consoles for members to use in a community environment, including through leagues, tournaments, events and parties, a news release said.

The lounge also sells games and repairs gaming consoles, phones and tablets.

“I have special memories of going to the mall with my mom on Friday nights and heading straight to the video arcade, which is why I was inspired to open PLAYlive Nation,” Bruce Frazier, owner, said in the release. “With our unique gaming lounge concept, I think the local community with appreciate this as a gathering place for people with a common interest.”

The mall is at 1321 N Columbia Center Blvd., Kennewick.
