Grant County fiber crash was computer related

The fiber-optic network outage that affected all Grant County PUD fiber customers county-wide Thursday was caused by a computer system crash.

The outage lasted approximately from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. All PUD-fiber-delivered Internet service was affected and some cell towners, PUD spokesman Chuck Allen said.
