Approximately 200 people gathered Wednesday afternoon at John Dam Plaza in Richland for a celebration and rally in honor of International Women’s Day.

The event was sponsored by the Honeypot Huddle, a local women’s civic group which formed following the Women’s March on Washington.

Speakers discussed the importance of standing up for the rights of women and other marginalized groups that they feel are at risk in the current political climate.
