Beep, beep. Coming through! If you've ever wondered why there are swan boats, a viral video online has your answer. It shows a flock of swan babies hitching a ride on their mama. She carries them across the water, no sweat! They'll be safe with mom around.

As most moms know, sometimes it's easier to pick your kids up and take them where you need to go. That was definitely the case for the swan mom, who had so many babies on her back as she swam across their pond.

Consider this her version of carpool. The swan has three babies on her back, while one baby trailed behind. They had to squeeze to make room for all of them! It really reminds me of when three siblings try to share the backseat.

Of course, not all of the swan babies made it onto their mama's back. One of the children had to trail behind. But don't feel too bad! I'm sure he got to break out those new swimming skills.

The whole thing is just so precious. And it looks like there is a second adult swan coming up behind them. Maybe it's dad?! You have to love family outings like this!

"Baby swans catching a ride on their mama's back, this genuinely made my day," the video's caption reads.

I have to agree. This made my day too!

How Many Babies Do Swans Have?

Have you ever seen such an adorable family? Mom, Dad, and their babies really have me obsessed. How many babies can a swan have anyway?

While the answer varies from swan to swan, there is an average amount of hatchlings that swans typically have. Swan moms have about 10 hatchlings with the expectation that not all of them will survive. Sadly, some babies are lost to predators. Although there is a chance that all hatchlings will survive and mature.

Swans can have several pregnancies throughout their lives, although the number of hatchings per birth gets smaller as they age. On average, there are lots of swan babies around - which means lots of passengers for mom to tow.
