New York City is a thrilling place to be, but it can also be exhausting, even for energetic dog breeds like Golden Retrievers.

The excitement of the towering buildings, the hustle and bustle of the crowds, and the endless sights to see mean there's always more to experience in Manhattan. That can also mean tourists of all kinds - including city dogs - can get particularly pooped trying to take in everything New York has to offer.

Take a dog to Central Park, and you may find your precious pup is more interested in locating a cozy park bench to nap on than tackling the park's famous trails.

A video shared to TikTok by @angelamoryantv is creating a completely relatable viral moment that fans can't stop watching and sharing. In the now-viral clip, liked by nearly 500,000 viewers, the creator captures a dog and his human taking a much-needed break on a park bench in Central Park.

Both the man and dog are cozily nestled into the bench, with the clearly exhausted pooch sprawled out across his human companion. This dog shows absolutely no signs of continuing his Central Park adventure anytime soon.

Thankfully, the pup's human seems perfectly content enjoying Central Park from the comfort of the bench while doubling as the adorable canine's makeshift travel bed. A cuddle is a cuddle, after all.

Commenters found the video just as relatable as they did charming, with a few jokesters writing versions of, "This dog had a ruff day." Nice play on words, TikTok.

Others quickly noted they had spotted the "iconic" dog-and-human duo themselves, turning this Golden Retriever pair into New York City's newest tourist attraction.

"Saw them on Saturday and had to snap a pic! Made my day!!" one person commented.

Another shared a similar sighting, writing, "Oh my gosh, we just saw them a few weeks ago during our visit!"

Even more social media followers chimed in with sightings of the now-famous duo.

"I saw them there in December! These two are iconic," another commenter wrote.

Iconic indeed. Charming, definitely.

New York City may be exciting, but it can also completely wear a dog out. The next time we're in New York and need a break, we know exactly where to relax. Who knows? Maybe we'll even spot this famous Golden Retriever taking a break too.
