It's Stormy the husky's birthday! Too bad that her husky sister Maya could not care less. That's the truth when you get two huskies under one roof. Despite her human's best attempts, Maya was not in the mood to celebrate her sister, whom she jokingly refers to as "Satan's daughter."

While Maya doesn't know many words, this YouTube video from @MayaHusky is proof that she knows one: No. As clear as day, this dog mom showed off her husky's sassiness after encouraging her to sing "Happy Birthday" to her sister. Unfortunately for Stormy, that's just not going to happen anytime soon.

Hilarious Reactions to Maya's Favorite Word

In case there was any confusion, Maya's favorite word is no. She may not be able to say anything else, but at least she can tell you when she disagrees. If that isn't enough to let you know where she stands, the feisty husky is also a professional at side-eyeing her mother.

While her mom didn't get much of a reaction from her, the comment section was full of hilarious remarks about Maya's continued disdain for her sister. As one viewer commented, "If you would have kept pushing Maya to say Happy Birthday to Stormy, her last clip would have been 'absolutely NOT.'" Another user chimed in with "Maya always says no perfectly, she didn't want to say it to 'Satan's daughter.' Happy Birthday Stormy."

Elsewhere in the comments, fans of the husky duo took their time to send their well wishes to Stormy, who, during all of this, was just trying to celebrate her birthday. "Oh how time flies Stormy i hope all your wishes come true, and Maya be nice to your sister," added one commenter.

Why Do Huskies Talk?

It's a trait that husky parents know and love: the constant, dramatic chatter that sounds more like a human conversation than a typical dog bark. This breed is one of the most vocal, and this behavior dates back to its ancestral roots. Unlike many domesticated breeds bred for barking warnings, huskies use a wider range of vocalizations, including whines, howls and the famous "woo-woo" sound, to communicate.

In this case, Maya's dramatic "No" is essentially a form of howls that have been adapted to sound like human speech, often used to express strong opinions, complain or engage with her human.

Solving the fact that yes, your husky, like Maya, is indeed arguing with you like any human teenager would.
