The Academy of Country Music Awards—or ACM Awards—are quickly approaching, airing live on May 17 at 8 p.m. EST on Prime Video. This ceremony honors the biggest names in country music who have left their mark on the genre and industry over the last year, and one of the most coveted awards of the night is Entertainer of the Year. At the 2024 ceremony, Lainey Wilson took home that night’s trophy, and at this year’s award show, she finds herself nominated yet again alongside a handful of accomplished musicians. Chris Stapleton’s gravelly, soulful voice and stellar songwriting skills have cemented his place in the country music world, so it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that he’s amongst those nominated for Entertainer of the Year. The “Tennessee Whiskey” singer is also nominated for Male Artist of the Year, and his track with Miranda Lambert, “A Song to Sing,” is nominated for Song of the Year, Music Event of the Year and Visual Media of the Year.
