Symon Perriman, founder and CEO of FanWide Technologies, speaks to audience and panel members at the Flywheel Investment Conference at the Numerica Performing Arts Theater in 2018. Six startup companies competed for between $100,000 and $150,000 in prizes that year.

Six Washington startups will take the stage in Wenatchee next month, competing for more than $200,000 in investment awards during the Flywheel Investment Conference.

The competition, set for May 21 at the Numerica Performing Arts Center, is a centerpiece of the three-day conference, which runs May 19–21 and brings together entrepreneurs, investors and community leaders from across the state.

Organizers with the Flywheel Angel Network announced the six finalists this week, highlighting a mix of companies tackling issues ranging from wildfire response and health care access to supply chain efficiency and artificial intelligence visibility. The finalists represent communities across Washington, including Seattle, Spokane, West Richland and Wenatchee.

Among them is Spokane-based BOVI.TECH, which is developing remote-operated systems to support wildfire response in hazardous conditions. Seattle-based Optimly focuses on helping brands monitor how they are represented by AI platforms, while Remmie Health is expanding access to ear, nose and throat care through telehealth technology.

Other finalists include Precision Quantomics, a Spokane company working to improve drug development success rates; Reclaim Metals of West Richland, which is developing AI-powered recycling technology for aluminum; and Subi, a Wenatchee startup streamlining real estate transactions.

The six companies will pitch live for a $150,000 investment prize and additional awards during the early-stage competition.

The conference also features several events throughout the week, including a Spanish-language Latino Founder Day, a student pitch competition featuring teams from Central Washington University and the University of Washington, and an awards ceremony closing out the event.

Organizers said the conference is designed to connect startups with investors while showcasing innovation happening across the state.
